QUALIFICATION OVERVIEW
The Basic Essential Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Compliance Ensurer Skills Programme equips learners with
the foundational knowledge required to understand and comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation
within the workplace. The programme focuses on creating awareness of legal obligations, employee responsibilities,
hazard and incident reporting procedures, and the role that both employers and employees play in maintaining a safe
and healthy work environment.
This programme is ideal for employees, team members, new entrants to the workplace, supervisors and individuals
who require a basic understanding of workplace health and safety compliance. Learners gain practical knowledge that
enables them to contribute to safer workplaces while supporting organisational compliance with the Occupational
Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
