It will give you a foundation of knowledge to build on if you wish to complete additional business or information technology specialisation courses. The purpose of this course is to introduce you to business information systems.

The course consists of eight modules, and each module has two units:

  • Computer Hardware (Unit 1 and Unit 2)
  • Computer Software (Unit 1 and Unit 2)
  • Data Resource Management (Unit 1 and Unit 2)
  • Telecommunications Systems Part 1 (Unit 1 and Unit 2)
  • Telecommunications Systems Part 2 (Unit 1 and Unit 2)
  • Transaction Processing Systems (TPS) and Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) Systems (Unit 1 and Unit 2)


Assessments:

There are two types of assessment in this online short course:

  • Formative assessments in each of the two units, for each of the eight modules
  • One final summative assessment


Type of certificate awarded:

Successful students will receive a Certificate of Competence from Waterfall School of Business.
