Short Learning Programme: Bridging Course to NQF Level 3 (English Fundamentals)
Many credit-bearing programmes have entry requirements, which are one NQF level lower that the credit-bearing programme itself. Typically these are in 2 areas, and often they are referred to, together, as “Fundamentals”. The 2 areas are usually Communication and Mathematics. This Short Learning Programme is aimed at providing students with access to further education and training opportunities, for example any Occupational qualification or Occupational Skills Programme at NQF Level 3.

Duration:
3-10 months(Self-paced)
Entry requirements:
- Grade 9 with English and Mathematical literacy or Mathematics.
- Grade 10 without English and/or Mathematical literacy or Mathematics.
Topics covered:
- Communication skills in English (NQF 2 level)
- Mathematical literacy (NQF 2 level)
Assessments:
Students are required to complete the following:
- 3 assignments per topic (subject)
Type of certificate awarded:
Upon completion of this course, students will be awarded a Statement of Results for the topics successfully completed
in the
Bridging course to NQF 3 (English Fundamentals) from
Waterfall School of Business.
